At Minds In Motion we pride ourselves on putting the unique needs of each child and his or her family at the forefront of our individually tailored programs. Our specialty programs are designed with the strengths and needs of each child in mind, and are conducted within a child-friendly, language enriched learning environment.
Assessment and treatment approaches integrate the latest in evidenced-based practice and brain research in learning. Therapy is provided by compassionate, dedicated, and highly competent ASHA Board Certified Speech-Language Pathologists and leaders in their profession. Collaboration with parents, educators, and professionals is conducted on an on-going basis to better serve the whole child and promote generalization.
Starting in June we will be offering VIEWPOINTS, an innovative social skills program. The 8 week curriculum focuses on perspective taking skills within relevant, creative and engaging activities for older students. Perspective taking is a higher level cognitive skill critical for successful social interactions that often goes untaught in programs and schools. The program will meet one time a week on Saturdays for two hours. Classes will be offered for both middle school and high-school students and be limited to no more than six students per class.
